Multi-talented DJ and presenter Vectra emerged from the north-west London collective SLK (Flirta D, Van Damage, BMD, Swarvo and more) at the tender age of 18 with only a love for music, a healthy collection of tracks and a passion for mixing going in his favour. Tooled with the drive and contacts he needed in order to further his career the young pioneer began spreading his name and talent throughout the creative industries and onto pirate radio stations such as Raw Mission, Freeze, Delight and Mystic, quickly leading him onto Rinse FM for his Sunday drive time show (3-5pm) where he specialises in grime, dubstep and UK funky house music.
As his love for music grew Vectra found a love for dubstep as well as grime and decided to share this passion with fans touring from London to Edinburgh, Prague, Ayai Napa and beyond. As if that wasn't satisfying enough Vectra took to the airwaves of BBC 1Xtra, Kiss 100 and over 20 underground pirate radio stations all over the UK.
"I LOVE MUSIC AND IT PLAYS A STRONG ROLE IN MY LIFE, IT ALL SO INFLUENCES A LOT OF DECISIONS IVE MADE IN MY LIFE AND I WOULDN'T CHANGE IT FOR THE WORLD –
Now only 25 years-old Vectra has decided that opening concerts for the likes of Bow Wow, Ciara and Eric Serman as well as DJing for Wiley, Dizzie Rascal and Bashy isn't enough and has come together with fellow Rinse FM DJ's (JJ, Silencer, Maximum and Spyro) to form the "Pitch Controllers" which consists of a record label, event promotions and future plans to evolve into a summer university which leads to an accreditation in Djing and Music Production at the end of the course.
2011 is set to see Pitch Controllers release a six disc release of grime, dubstep and UK funky house music to add to the successful events they've already held in The Old Blue and The Den which saw over 500 fans come down to show their support.
